LIPOSOMAL DELIVERY

What are the benefits of liposomal delivery?

When administered sublingually, approximately 30% of a 125 mg dose of NMN is absorbed through the tissues under the tongue, with the remainder being swallowed. As the dosage increases, the absorption percentage tends to decrease due to the limited transport capacity of the capillaries. In contrast, liposomal delivery methods offer significantly higher bioavailability, allowing a greater percentage of the active ingredient to enter the bloodstream. Additionally, liposomes provide protection for the payload against degradation once it has entered the circulatory system.

One of the key advantages of liposomal delivery is its extended-release profile. Liposomes can release their payload over an extended period, up to 24 hours in some cases. This prolonged release is particularly beneficial when administering larger dosages, as it helps maintain consistent levels of the active ingredient in the system.

Despite the benefits of liposomal delivery, sublingual administration offers its own unique advantages. The rapid delivery to the bloodstream can be particularly beneficial when taken before physical exercise. Furthermore, many users report experiencing an energy surge shortly after sublingual administration, which serves as a tangible confirmation of the supplement's efficacy.

How do liquid and powdered liposomes differ?

While our liquid and powdered liposomal products achieve similar bioavailability in the bloodstream, they differ in several key aspects:

Release Profile: Powdered capsules tend to release their payload more gradually over a 24-hour period, whereas liquid formulations typically have a faster release rate. The impact of this difference on overall effectiveness is still under investigation.

Taste and Texture: Liquid liposomal products have a smooth texture and may be easier to swallow for some users. Powdered capsules are just like a typical supplement capsules.

Portability: Powdered liposomal capsules are generally more portable and travel-friendly, as they're less prone to spills and don't count towards liquid restrictions in air travel.

Storage Requirements: Both forms have a two-year shelf life when stored at room temperature.

Are liposomal products heat-sensitive?

Liposomal powder capsules are stable at high temperatures. However, liposomal gels are heat-sensitive and shouldn't be exposed to temperatures above 115°F (46°C) for more than a few days. Prolonged heat exposure can cause liposomes in gel form to break down, potentially reducing the product's effectiveness.

Are liposomal products the same as delayed (extended) release?

No. Delayed Release and Extended Release capsules offer limited protection for ingredients. They mainly shield contents from stomach acid and delay release, but don't truly provide sustained ingredient delivery over time.

Liposomes, on the other hand, go the extra mile. They safeguard their payload throughout the entire digestive tract and into the bloodstream. Depending on the specific liposome, they can then release the contents gradually for up to 24 hours.

The benefits of liposomal delivery are twofold: it significantly boosts bioavailability and provides genuine sustained release. For any supplement known to have poor absorption, liposomal delivery should be the go-to method for maximum effectiveness.

sublingual delivery

How do you take the sublingual NMN?

If you're using pure NMN powder for sublingual intake, simply scoop the recommended amount into your mouth and tuck it under your tongue. Let it sit there and dissolve naturally - no need to swallow right away.

For those taking NMN tablets, the process is similar. Place the tablet under your tongue and resist the urge to chew or swallow it immediately. This method helps maximize absorption through the tissues in your mouth.

If you've opted for a liposomal gel product, squeeze the appropriate dose into your mouth and, you guessed it, hold it under your tongue. The gel format is designed to boost absorption and protect the NMN as it enters your system.

Aim to keep any of these products under your tongue for about 30-45 seconds. This gives enough time for the NMN to be absorbed through the sublingual tissues, potentially increasing its effectiveness.

Don't worry if you end up swallowing sooner than planned, especially with liposomal products. The liposomes act like tiny protective bubbles, shielding the NMN from stomach acid. This means it can still be absorbed through your intestines and make its way into your bloodstream, ensuring you still get the benefits of the supplement.

How does sublingual delivery work?

Sublingual delivery allows rapid absorption of supplements through blood vessels under the tongue, bypassing the digestive system. This method offers faster action and potentially better absorption than swallowing supplements.

In terms of efficiency, sublingual delivery outperforms oral administration significantly. It's only surpassed by liposomal delivery and intravenous injection, though the latter is rarely used for routine supplements.

Isn't the NAD+ molecule too large to get inside a cell?

The NAD+ molecule is large and doesn't directly enter cells as efficiently as NMN or NR, but we decided to include it in NAD+ Complete (along with NMN, NR and trigonelline) because it offers unique benefits that other metabolites do not.

NAD is a complete, stable molecule that the body breaks down to ADP (to generate energy) and other useful familiar metabolites like NMN, then NR and finally NAM. NAD+ is far more stable in the bloodstream than NMN and NR which rapidly disappear. The NAD+ is not "trapped" and useless as some people may imply. NAD is not excreted from the body when its levels are very high, as with NAM. It serves as the most efficient storage and transport NAD metabolite.

Even without direct entry into your cells, NAD+ interacts with cell receptors and enzymes, enhancing beneficial signaling pathways. There's also a possibility of beneficial extracellular functions from the NAD+ itself.

As the NAD+ breaks down, its metabolites are also utilized by cells to synthesize new NAD+. This combination of NAD+ with NMN/NR provides a holistic approach to boosting NAD+ levels and why many people prefer NAD+ Complete (and experience better results) over taking NMN or NR by themselves.

How do you ensure the purity of your NMN?

We conduct rigorous testing on every batch of NMN upon arrival in the United States, prior to processing. For transparency, we publish these test results on each product page in the CERTIFICATIONS section.

Our unique approach involves testing the finished product and posting results with corresponding batch numbers on our website. This allows customers to verify the test results for their specific purchase using the batch number on their item.

To the best of our knowledge, we are the only brand in the industry that provides this level of transparency for finished products. We take pride in ensuring that all our products are processed, tested, and packaged within the United States, maintaining strict quality control throughout the entire production process.

What is the best age to start taking NMN?

NAD+ levels naturally decline with age, typically beginning around 25 years old. The primary purpose of taking NAD+ precursors like NMN is to restore these levels to those of your younger years. However, age isn't the sole factor affecting NAD+ levels; stress, inflammation, environmental toxins, and sleep deprivation can also contribute to its decline.

Given these various factors, NMN supplementation can be beneficial at any age. While an NAD+ blood test is the most accurate way to determine if your levels are suboptimal, taking NMN is generally considered safe even for younger individuals. It's viewed as a proactive approach to maintaining optimal NAD+ levels, regardless of age.

What evidence supports the effectiveness of NMN?

Numerous studies on mice have shown promising results for NMN, including increased endurance, new blood vessel growth, and improved glucose tolerance, among other benefits.

To date, 21 human studies on NMN have been conducted. For those interested in delving deeper, summaries of these studies and links to the full research papers are available on our website.

Beyond scientific research, there's a wealth of anecdotal evidence from users. We encourage you to join our /Renue subreddit to connect with other users, ask questions, and learn about personal experiences with these supplements. This community platform provides valuable insights into real-world applications and outcomes of NMN supplementation.

Do I need to take TMG with NMN?

No. NAD+ boosting supplements may, in some instances, lead to a depletion of methyl groups in the body. Trimethylglycine (TMG) plays a crucial role in restoring these methyl groups. As NAD+ is metabolized, it breaks down into Nicotinamide (NAM). To eliminate excess NAM, a methyl group is attached, forming methylnicotinamide (MeNAM) for excretion. This process can potentially stress the body's methyl group reserves, potentially affecting other essential methylation functions.

It's important to note that current research doesn't indicate methyl depletion or a need for TMG supplementation with normal dosages (less than 1,000mg) of NMN or NR. However, some healthcare professionals recommend TMG as a precautionary measure, and many individuals choose to take it alongside NMN or NR as a safeguard.

TMG offers a range of potential benefits beyond methyl group replenishment. For those interested, we offer TMG as part of our TMG Methylation Essentials combination supplement.

LIPO NMN

Do I need to refrigerate LIPO NMN?

No. Our LIPO NMN product has been formulated for stability at room temperature, eliminating the need for refrigeration. This shelf-stable characteristic is a result of our advanced liposomal technology, which effectively protects the NMN molecules from degradation under normal storage conditions.

Do I need to take LIPO NMN with food?

No. Our LIPO NMN is designed to be flexible in its administration, catering to your personal preferences and daily routine. You have the option to take it with or without food, as neither method impacts its effectiveness.

If you choose to take it on an empty stomach, rest assured that the supplement is formulated to be gentle and well-tolerated. For those who prefer to take supplements with meals, you can easily incorporate it into your regular meal times without concern for reduced efficacy.

How much more bioavailable is LIPO NMN compared to pure powder NMN?

The absorption rate of NMN varies significantly depending on the delivery method. When pure NMN powder is administered sublingually (under the tongue), approximately 30% of the dose enters the bloodstream. This method already offers improved bioavailability compared to oral ingestion.

However, our liposomal delivery system represents a substantial advancement in NMN absorption. Based on our research and product development, we estimate that over 90% of the NMN in our LIPO NMN formulation reaches the bloodstream. This remarkable increase in bioavailability is attributed to the protective and transport-enhancing properties of liposomes.

To put this into perspective, LIPO NMN is approximately three times more efficient in delivering NMN to your system compared to sublingual administration of pure powder. This enhanced efficiency means that a lower dose of LIPO NMN can potentially provide similar or greater benefits than a higher dose of non-liposomal NMN, offering both improved effectiveness and value.

What time of day should I take LIPO NMN?

Any time of day. Our liposomal delivery system offers dual benefits: it protects the NMN payload and facilitates a gradual release over a 24-hour period. This controlled release mechanism prevents sudden spikes of the supplement in the bloodstream, contributing to a more stable and sustained effect.

To date, we have not received any reports of sleep disturbances associated with LIPO NMN consumption. This absence of reported side effects, coupled with the time-released formula, provides you with flexibility in terms of when you choose to take the supplement. You're free to incorporate it into your routine at a time that best suits your preferences and lifestyle.

LIPO GEL

LIPO GEL

How do you take the LIPO gel products?

To use our liposomal gel product effectively, begin by squeezing the recommended dose directly into your mouth, positioning it under your tongue. Hold the gel in this sublingual position for 30-45 seconds, allowing initial absorption through the tissues beneath your tongue.

After this brief period, swallow the remaining gel. The innovative design of our liposomal formulation offers a two-pronged approach to absorption. While the sublingual method provides an initial pathway, the liposomes also safeguard the product during its journey through your digestive system.

This protective feature allows the gel to navigate the stomach environment unscathed, with additional absorption taking place in the intestines. By combining these methods, our product ensures efficient delivery of the active ingredients into your bloodstream, optimizing the potential benefits of the supplement.

When do LIPO gel products expire?

Each bottle is guaranteed to maintain its potency for two years from the date of manufacture, which is clearly printed on the packaging for your reference.

To maintain optimal product quality, we recommend storing the gel in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, even though our advanced formulation is designed to withstand typical environmental variations.

TMG

How does TMG support methylation?

In some instances, using NAD+ boosting supplements can reduce the body's methyl group levels. Trimethylglycine (TMG) plays a crucial role in replenishing these methyl groups, as it contains three methyl groups available for donation. As NAD+ is metabolized, it breaks down into Nicotinamide (NAM), which can increase the demand for methyl groups.

Supplementing with TMG is not typically necessary unless very high doses of NMN are taken orally, leading to a rapid spike in NAD+ levels, or if an individual has an MTHFR mutation that impairs methylation pathways. Liposomal formulations of NAD+ precursors, on the other hand, release slowly and almost never require the addition of TMG, as they do not cause a sudden demand for methylation support.

Is TMG supplementation necessary when taking NMN?

Current research does not indicate that standard dosages of NMN or NR (under 1,000 mg) significantly deplete methyl groups or necessitate the use of TMG. However, some individuals may benefit from TMG supplementation, as it can support methylation.

Dr. Sinclair has recommended the use of TMG as a precautionary measure due to its safety and potential benefits. In addition to supporting methylation, TMG offers a variety of other health benefits. For those interested, we provide TMG in our TMG Methylation Essentials supplement.

CardioMAX

Does Red Yeast Rice contain the same active ingredient as statins?

Yes, red yeast rice is a natural source of monacolin K, the same active ingredient found in Lovastatin. However, unlike pharmaceutical statins, red yeast rice provides a complex blend of compounds rather than a single isolated ingredient. This natural mixture may interact more gently with the body and is generally considered less likely to cause adverse effects.

It's important to note that both monacolin K and most statins can significantly reduce the body's natural production of CoQ10. For this reason, many cardiologists recommend CoQ10 supplementation for patients taking statins. To address this, we include CoQ10 in our Red Yeast Rice product, CardioMAX.

Does your Red Yeast Rice contain Citrinin?

Citrinin, a mycotoxin commonly found in varying amounts in many Red Yeast Rice products, can be a concern, especially when consumed in large quantities. However, our CardioMAX product addresses this issue with a unique formulation.

The enhanced bioavailability of our liposomal formula allows us to use only 400 mg of Red Yeast Rice, compared to the 1,200 mg typically found in other products. More importantly, our lipolization process effectively eliminates Citrinin, as the compound is too large to be encapsulated within a liposome.

We rigorously test all our products for contaminants and will make test reports available to confirm that our finished product is free from mycotoxins, including Citrinin."
